jeeva beloam beach camp
Only slightly shaded by a small shelter made of driftwood, shells and bast, we lie in the fine powdery sand. Up and down the waves break on the steeply sloping beach. And besides ... nothing but silence. It seems as if time stands still around us and our thoughts sink into the wild murmur of the Timur Sea.
The pleasure of sweet idleness is washed away when hunger and a multi-course dinner call us to the table. We quickly shower sand and salt from our bodies. On the menu are incredibly tasty local dishes made from daily fresh market ingredients. And before we sink back into complete satisfaction thanks to these delicacies, we take a few steps and sit down in the dunes. In the meantime it has become dark. Very dark. And above us the most beautiful night sky is shining, which is hard to describe in words: Countless small white and bluish stars colonize the vast black nothing. In a gossamer veil they sprinkle the Milky Way, which now passes over us very slowly. So we sit a while longer, marvel at the magic and let the gentle roar of the waves carry us to bed.
In the rhythm of nature and without any haste the 11 Berugas also embed themselves into the untouched landscape. Deliberately built in a sustainable way in the minimalist style of old fisherman's villages, combined with natural but extravagant materials and accessories, they are a reflection of the Camp’s philosophy.
Our Beruga is located directly on the beach, and so we are gently awakened the next morning with that constant sound of the sea. So we start the new day with a local fresh breakfast, followed by an intensive, strong Lombok style massage. Strengthened, not only do we celebrate the day; a horde of monkeys rages wildly on the coastal cliffs. Carefree they jump from stone to stone. Apparently they enjoy the wonderful peace and quiet of Jeeva Beloam – just like we do.
